I wasn't the only one who had the idea...to go to the top floor of the parking garage at 14th and H Streets last night...to view the supermoon and see if I could get a good image...this young couple...with their camera gear and dogs in tow...arrived shortly after I got there...as the sun was setting in front of them, they sat and waited patiently for the moon to appear above the horizon...

My initial plan had been to check in to the Hyatt Regency...get a balcony room facing the park...except the only room left was on the 4th floor...not high enough...
So off to the Memorial Garage I went...I ignored the cautionary sign to potential loiterers...saying stay away unless you are parking or retrieving a vehicle...then captured the image below using a telephoto lens set at 200mm...a lens my best friend Sue refers to as Big Daddy...it's always been good enough...until tonight...
