No, I'm not talking about Organizing for America...I'm done with that...this time, my subject is more mundane...it's about finding something you're not looking for...
Today I learned that it can pay to look in the closet...in my closet anyway...I'm getting ready for a giveaway later this week...and in the process, I found an old 70-300mm lens I forgot I had...no, I'm not giving it away...and as soon as I saw it, I thought maybe I'd try shooting the supermoon again tonight...then I remembered...it is threatening a rainstorm...not sure the moon will be visible to the naked eye before it either wanes or the rains come...
And I did learn the value of organizing all of my camera equipment...finding things that have fallen into disuse can be a fortuitous surprise...or even an opportunity to let go...I'll be doing the latter with an old camera body later this week, so be sure to check back...think of it as an opportunity to not clean your closet and still get a surprise in the process...

It didn't storm...it didn't rain...and the lens I found?...it captured the moon just as it is...magnificent...bright...and full of detail...
