Following a week of 100+ degree weather, tonight the outside temperature is a cool 68 degrees...there is a lovely Delta Breeze coming from the Sacramento River a short distance away...the doors and windows to the house are flung open...my husband is playing his guitar...the cat is asleep in her bed...
A cool rush of air grazes the back of my neck...strands of hair brush my face...a smile arises from deep inside my being...a feeling of blessedness washes over me...life is sweet indeed...
