The seat of our California government...designed after the United States Capitol Building...its Neoclassical style derived from the architecture of Greece and Rome...every governor I ever worked for had an office here...the one who occupies it now has had one twice...
I shot this image from inside a suite on the 14th floor of the Citizen Hotel...the suite faced north and had one east-facing window...my Powershot camera held precariously with arms outstretched...I got this image by reaching through a three-inch opening the sash allowed...not my sharpest or best composed photo, but one of my more inventive shooting angles...and I have the indelible marks on my forearms to show for it...
