When was the last time you took a walk in the woods?...admittedly, I don't do this often...and these last two weeks have given me pause to reconsider...
Having had the luxury of solitude in a very special place, I must express my appreciation...and gratitude...for my friend Michaelene's creation...the woods that make up her dreamscape...a large part of her journey to the creation of her new life on the island...
In four years time, she has relocated from the city to the woods...said goodbye to her job...made many new, creative, interesting friends...written the best-selling, award winning novel entitled The Last Supper Catering Company ...traveled to New York and Italy...moved heaven and earth to create heaven on earth in her own "backyard"...all the while significantly reducing her footprint on the earth's resources...
Her reinvention of nearly every aspect of her life is...yes, I have to use this word...awesome...to behold...and inspiring...that she would also share her home with me...its woodlands and magic...entrust it to me...makes me feel a magnitude of gratitude I cannot begin to express fully...as I leave the island today, I am deeply, quietly happy...rested...ready...for whatever comes...
