Who knew that towel warmers can cost thousands of dollars?...of course, I started with a manufacturer's site where the prices were not listed...and chose one that was well over $2,000...
My Dad used to say that in a room full of mostly reasonably priced merchandise, I'd make a beeline to the one expensive thing...like ice cream calling out from the frozen food section when I'm still shopping in produce...I guess he was right...
Back to the point...I first flirted with towel warmers on a trip to Italy...but it was last year's trip to Paris where I fell head over heels...all it took was thirty days of continuous use to become the single thing I most missed when I got home (if you don't count the Musee l'Orangerie, Musee Rodin, Rue Montorguell, Jardin des Tuileries and a thousand other places)...they are so versatile...towel warmer, clothes drying rack, room heater, pajama warmer, dehumidifier...
And since we were remodeling the bathroom, it seemed it was the right time to install one...I worked my way down (way down) to my final choice...and ended up with this model...it didn't cost a fortune, nor is it beautifully designed like the one I first selected...and it will be quite a luxury to me...
Towel warmer...a dream come true...
