Minimum...

I would prefer to be using the word "minimal" but it just doesn't apply...I seem unable to travel with any less...this is what I take for a two-day staycation...far more than one of my friends takes on a five-month trip overseas...so I settled on the word minimum., knowing that I was likely approaching what would be the maximum for many...

Try as I might, there is not a single item I seem able to leave home without...and while each of the items...save the sunglasses...has gotten physically smaller over time, there are even more of them now than there were five years ago...sigh...

I suppose I could eliminate the computer...but only if I was willing to wait until I return home from each trip to download my images...maybe one day when I am a better photographer I will be able to wait...so far I cannot resist the desire to see what I've got as soon as possible...connecting the camera...importing the images to Aperture...deleting the bad shots....this has become a ritual I look forward to completing as each day comes to a close...

And please don't tell me I cheated because I didn't include in the photograph all of the many adaptors, surge protectors, cables and other accouterment that I have with me...in the immortal words of Albert Einstein, "not everything that can be counted counts."

The six things I am unable to leave home without...the case holds the Canon Powershot S110...and all of its accessories...that I used to take the image...
