My first DSLR camera body is languishing in its bag...ignored like a pair of old shoes...even when I can't see it, I can feel it...calling from the back of the closet...begging to be dusted off and put to good use...
It's a Canon EOS xSi...aka 450D...five years old...and although this may be light years in photography, it nonetheless looks and works like new...and at 12.2 megapixels, it's nothing to disparage...in fact, if you are wondering whether you are DSLR material, it's a fine way to find out...
I long ago gave away the kit lens that came with the camera, but there are a few accessories...which will be a surprise...and you can purchase a great starter lens online...a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II goes for around $100...and turns this camera into a great alternative to a 35mm film camera...
If you already own a better camera body than this, good for you...and if you don't...but you think you might want to own this one...leave me a comment...at the bottom of this blog post...not on Facebook (those comments will not be considered in the giveaway)...I'll select the winner using a random number generator, unless of course there is only one taker...and then it will be yours...
All comments posted before Sunday, June 30 at midnight PST will be included in the pool of names from which the final winner will be identified...I'll announce the lucky person on Monday, July 1...which, coincidentally, is Mom's 93rd birthday...
I'd love for this camera body to go to someone who will truly appreciate and use it...if that's you, please comment below...shipping anywhere in these contiguous United States is included...so no excuses...if you want it, speak up now or forever hold your peace...OK, hold your peace anyway...
